The production process

The production process starts in the ceramic department where, after the powder is produced, a rotating press prepares the monoliths to send to the sintering oven. Then the tubes are transferred to the shearing and adjusting area on a monorail that connects all the factory departments. The production of the ceramic part uses highly automated systems that ensure top quality standards. The other essential elements of the cell are prepared in the production department with molten and granulated salt. The sheet metal for the battery shells is cut and folded. The battery is then assembled with parts designed to reduce its weight and costs. Finally, in the battery control department, newly conceived software includes a memory that can collect data from the lifecycles. Each battery has a barcode so the production parameters can be controlled to make every one of them traceable throughout time.
